Retrace the locations of one of the most famous and acclaimed films of all time with the exclusive Godfather tour!
Our tour will transport you, aboard a comfortable car, to post-war Sicily to discover the places that were the backdrop for the film “The Godfather”, which tells the story of Michael Corleone, played by the famous Al Pacino.
The tour retraces the places chosen by the director Francis Ford Coppola as the setting for the most emblematic scenes of the first film of the saga between Savoca and Forza d’Agrò, two medieval villages located north of Taormina.
The route begins with a walk in the center of Savoca and a stop at the historic Bar Vitelli. This is a must, not only to admire the photos of some scenes from the film hanging on the walls, but also to taste an excellent granita. Here you will be free to explore this village on your own and visit the Church of Santa Lucia.
Once the stop in Savoca is over, our driver will take you to Forza d’Agrò, the town where many scenes from the film were set. Here you will be able to recognize the different locations walking through the streets and along the medieval walls that lead to the Church, which appears in several episodes of the trilogy.
It is also possible to enrich the tour with a visit to the Castello degli Schiavi.
The Godfather tour therefore represents the perfect opportunity to discover the most authentic Sicily by exploring the villages of the hinterland, where traditions are still alive and life flows slowly as it used to in the past.
It is the ideal route for cinema enthusiasts and for those who love to identify themselves and live a few hours in a not too distant period to discover places suspended in time.
